Pianist en componist Karel Boehlee is al vanaf jonge leeftijd een toonaangevende naam in de Nederlandse jazz. Zijn eerste albums werden direct een succes, vooral in Japan. Al meer dan twintig jaar speelt hij met musici als Toots Thielemans en Philip Catherine en treedt hij regelmatig op met Nederlandse artiesten als Toon Roos, Fay Claasen en Trijntje Oosterhuis. Daarnaast is hij een veelgevraagd sessiemusicus.

Ruud Ouwehand is al ruim veertig jaar actief als jazzcontrabassist, componist, docent en programmeur. Hij staat bekend om zijn overzicht, muzikaliteit en snelle interactie met zijn medemusici. Ouwehand speelde op festivals en podia in binnen- en buitenland, waaronder het North Sea Jazz Festival, en trad op in steden als Berlijn, Parijs, Lissabon, Antwerpen en op diverse locaties in Indonesië.
